Teaching & tutoring
I began my teaching career in 2010 and have experience across schools and colleges in the West Midlands and Worcestershire. Throughout this time, I have worked extensively in further education colleges, teaching a wide range of qualifications including OCR Technicals, HNC/D, BTEC Nationals, GCSEs, OCR Nationals, Pearson and AQA GCSE and A Levels, as well as OCR iMedia.
I am approachable and easy to work with, and I strongly believe that positive relationships are central to student success. I have taught and studied a broad range of Business and Geography modules, alongside GCSE and A Level Mathematics, and I focus on helping students build confidence as well as subject knowledge.
Alongside my college-based teaching, I also work as an online tutor for Wolsey Hall Oxford, supporting home-educated students from across the UK and internationally. This has given me extensive experience of delivering high-quality, personalised online lessons and supporting learners through structured independent study programmes.
More recently, I have written my first textbook for a BTEC GCSE qualification and contributed to course development for the OCR exam board. I currently tutor students on both a regular and one-off basis and particularly enjoy working with students after mock examinations, where clear feedback and exam technique can lead to rapid improvement.
Outside of teaching, I have a keen interest in art, football and nutrition, and I enjoy staying active and continuing to learn beyond the classroom.
